The Italian National Commission for UNESCO has published an article announcing the entry of the serial site “Funerary Traditions in the Prehistory of Sardinia: the domus de janas” into the UNESCO World Heritage List, during the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee held in Paris. The Domus de Janas, tombs carved into the rock dating back to the Neolithic age, represent a significant example of funerary architecture and bear witness to the religious and social practices of the ancient Sardinian communities. This nomination, promoted by the CeSIM Sardinia Association, was coordinated by the UNESCO Office of the Ministry of Culture and supported by the Sardinia Region.
